9:00 am -10:00 am Host Management Casino hosts perform the essential functions of keeping top players in the fold and cultivating new business. As such, casinos and their hosts have critical decisions to make about comps (how to be flexible yet avoid giving players a sense of entitlement), time management (how much time should be spent “hugging” existing players and hunting for new ones), how to keep hosts motivated and growing in their jobs. In this session, attendees will hear both the ins-and-outs of hosting on the front lines and what management can do to build a successful host department.
11:30 am – 12:30 pm Targeting Customers: Building a Hierarchy In deciding which customers to target, casinos can follow some basic rules of thumb, but those rules, and the decisions that go with them, are only as good as the data they are based on. In this session, you will hear how to develop and segment qualified sales leads from your database; how to manage reinvestment properly and how to measure player worth through math. The end result is to build a hierarchy of customer targets that yields maximum results for your resource investment.
